DevOps Engineer - Linux/Kubernetes

From designing and building robust systems to managing secure, business-critical platforms. Furthermore, we automate as much as possible, support the (customer) team and developers on applications, and keep the platform secure, up to date and available.

Our ideal candidate looks like this:

  • Proven track record as a T-shaped engineer.

    • Strong experience with Linux environments (Debian and Redhat administration, scripting and security).

    • Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD (GitLab CI) and Certificate Management.

    • Experience scripting and interacting with APIs using Bash, Python, or Ruby.

    • Experience building and maintaining on premise and cloud-based Kubernetes environments (multi-tenant clusters)

    • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking and security:

      • Cluster and Workload Hardening,

      • Experience with Cilium (or other CNI)

      • Nginx Ingress Controller

      • Storage solutions such as Portworx

    • Experience securing containerized environments and Kubernetes clusters.

    • Technical Application Management: building containers, Docker, Helm charts, troubleshooting applications, and automation.

    • Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting (MySQL, MongoDB).

    • Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (Cilium, Hubble, DataDog).

    • Strong troubleshooting skills: ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and security issues across a complex landscape.

    • Architecture, Leadership & Collaboration:

      • Ability to create high- and low-level designs (pre/post-sales).

      • Experience conducting technical workshops and writing clear technical documentation.

      • Strong presentation skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

      • Contribution to team building and knowledge sharing.
